Buenaventura Perú supports forecasts golden production in 2009

Good luck keeps his golden production projection stable for the year 2009 in nearly 1,3 million ounces, including his Yanacocha quota, one of the auriferous mines bigger than Latin America. The company produced the year 2008 approximately 1,2 millions of golden ounces, including his quota in Yanacocha.

During his presentation in the mining convention Perúmin in Arequipa, Francois Muths, manager of operations of Good luck, said that the company foresees that the golden project The Trench begins to operate at the end of the year 2010.

Good luck, which produces The Trench with Newmont Mining Corp, had said previously that the project might begin to produce in the first trimester of 2010.

The Trench would produce about 100.000 annual golden ounces for approximately 10 years.

Tantahuatay, the second auriferous Good luck project in development process, is programmed to initiate the production at the end of 2011 and also it is foreseen to produce in this deposit approximately 100.000 golden ounces a year.
