The Philippines - Development of 7 gold-mines and copper in the Island of Masbate
25-06-2008 newspaperThe Philippine mine-layer Geograce Resources Philippines has signed an agreement with a subsidiary of the Brazilian Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (COST) for the development of seven gold-mines and copper in the island of Masbate, to the north of the Philippines, has reported the newspaper “Business World“.
Geograce indicated that his directorate has approved the agreement reached with Vale Exploration Philippines, with which he will share the rights on 84.046 hectares with gold and copper located in the bicabbage region, which part of Luzón is.

The president of Geograce, Jerry Angping, affirmed that the interest of the Australian branch in the Philippines demonstrates the “big mining potential” of the ancient Spanish colony.
“It costs has the option to acquire 51 % of the capital in the Masbate mines after the exploration works”, he added.
Angping indicated the intention of the company of exploiting other mining deposits in other parts of the archipelago together with foreign signatures.
