Malaysia - Kelantan authorizes Dinar Gold as official currency

Many Islamic parties defend the use of the dinar and the dirham as coins of change in the Moslem world to promote his cohesion and to defend themselves from the fluctuation of the international markets of currencies.
Nik Abdul Aziz, spiritual leader of the PAS, indicated: "The Islamic coins were used during hundreds of years before the fall of the Ottoman Empire.”
