Peru - Canadian Shield updates auriferous projects

The Canadian mine-layer Canadian Shield Resources Ltd has communicated That an update of the project Covers with stars in the center of Peru, and of the project Colpayoc, located in the District of Yanacocha to the north of Peru. Canadian Shield finished recently a review of all the information of exploration generated on these projects, between them, all the trenches, samples of rocks and courts transversarles of perforation orifices.

The property Covers with stars it was perforated by Canadian Shield and by previous operators, while the property Colpayoc has been an object of settled and perforations on the part of previous operators (1996-2007).

In all the cases, Canadian Shield developed models of targets of exploration for every project and it will prepare technical reports NI 43-101 for every property. The exploration targets contain tonnages and categories that are of conceptual nature.

The exploration is not sufficient to define a mineral resource as not even 43-101 defines it and there is not known if new explorations will give place to the discovery of a mineral resource.

Canadian Shield has announced all the important perforation interceptions.

STAR

The property Covers with stars contains a system epitermal of gold - silver stayed at volcanic rocks, which contains mineralization of associate basic metal, lodged inside a tectonic pit (record) with direction north - south.
The golden analyses of the launderings and the orifices of perforation in the exploration target range between 0,2 to 54,0 g/t, and divide equally 0,44 g/t of gold.
The silver mineralization inside the exploration target has analyses that go from 15,0 to 1.400 g/t, and divide equally 21,15 g/t of silver.
The target of exploration of Star contains a minimum of 35 million metric tons of mineralization and can contain up to 55 million metric tons or more mineralization.
The area mineralizada is of at least 1.200 meters long (north - south) and approximately 200 meters wide (east-west). The principal mineralization area takes place in a dip area towards the west (-45 grades), which is crossed by areas mineralizadas subvertical. In the dip area towards the west, the mineralization remains opened by ascending dip, descending dip, and in direction towards the north and the south. The mineralization stayed at the almost vertical areas remains opened in depth and along the course in both directions.
These estimations are deliberately Conservatives and they provide a clear indication of the place, the change of grade and the direction of the mineralization.

The property Covers with stars possesses 2.300 hectares and it is located to 130 km to the south of Huancayo in the Department of Juancavalica.
One gains access to the same one across 65 kilometers of paved highways of high quality, and 65 km of ways of gravel of high quality.
Canadian Shield has a participation of 90 % in the property, while 10 % remainder belongs to Anderson Peru Mining and Exploration S.A.C.
The property contains a system epitermal of gold - silver of intermediate sulfidación and multiple phases, with laundering stayed at volcanic intrusive rocks and subvolcanic félsicas and intermediate probably of the tertiary age.
The mineralization happens with general alteration of (ilita) sericita, clay and minor alteration of silica.
The excessively lime volcanic rocks of the age permotriásica stay inside a tectonic pit (record) limited by flaws with north direction.
The mineralization happens in at least three different styles that north - south is present inside a 1.200 meters area for 200 meters east-west.
The biggest mineralization area happens like an area estratoligada with direction north - south, with dip towards the west, irregular, composed for one to three subareas, which as a whole measure 50 to 150 meters of thickness.
The areas estratoligadas contain mineralization of gold and silver of variable grade that galena happens with pyrite, tetrahedrita, and esfalerita spread and lodged in seams. The area has been intersectada along the course for 600 meters, and remains opened for the additional expansion towards the north and the south. The area estratoligada also remains opened by ascending dip, towards the due sublaundering (under the alluvium quaternary), and descending dip.
The second type of mineralization happens like an area to tabulate page that changes between 10 and 25 meters of thickness, and it is located in or close to the surface.
The flat area covers an area of approximately 200 meters east-west and 130 meters north - south, and happens over the area estratoligada with dip towards the west.
The third type of mineralization happens like areas of subvertical flaws with north direction that contain mineralization of gold and silver, which they cut the area estratoligada with dip towards the west and the flat area close to the superficial mineralization.
This third type of mineralization outcrops in the surface and has been intersectada in perforation orifices, spreading to the north of the area estratoligada over a 600 meters distance (north - south).
The subvertical area composes of several individual areas from 3 to 15 meters wide that from 60 to 80 meters wide happen inside a wider area. The subvertical mineralization is topographically higher than the area estratoligada with dip towards the west, which can be present in depth, below the existing perforation. The subvertical area contains locally part of the highest mineralization of the property, including perforation intersections of up to 11 meters 311,2 g/t of silver and 0,59 g/t of gold (RC-E10 of 43-54 m). The subvertical mineralization also remains opened for the expansion in direction towards the north and the south and in depth. The entire oxidation depth in the property Star is very close to the surface (less than 5,0 m).
Canadian Shield reckons to realize additional perforations to extend the mineralization area and in the areas of mineralization of major grade. The perforation will be planned to facilitate the preparation of a technical report NI 43-101.

COLPAYOC

The property Colpayoc contains a system of porphyry golden - copper head office in the area of the day, and 5 areas target additional in the surrounding area with targets epitermales of gold - silver and lodged in rocks type skarn. The Area of Day has received the biggest work quantity.
The results of analysis of trenches and orifices of perforation in the area principal exploration target ranges between 0,2 to 2,9 g/t of gold with an average grade of 0,50 g/t.
The target of exploration of the Area of Day contains a minimum of 25 million metric tons of mineralization and can contain up to 50 million metric tons or more.
The golden mineralization is lodged inside an intrusive rock that is exhibited in a semicircular area of approximately 400 meters in diameter, surrounded by sedimentary rocks.
The mineralization forms an almost continuous circular area inside the intrusion. The oxidation spreads to a depth of approximately 45 meters. The copper mineralization is present, but it has not been evaluated in detail. The areas mineralizadas remain opened in depth and in all the directions.

The property Colpayoc possesses 4.200 hectares and it is located to 15 kilometers to the west of the city of Cajamarca and 15 km to the south of the complex of the mine Yanacocha, produced by Newmont Mining Corporation.
Canadian Shield has an option to acquire a participation of 100 %, subject to a privilege for clear comeback of the smelting (NSR) of 2 % in the property.
One gains access to the property Colpayoc for an improved way of 29 km gravel from Cajamarca.
Colpayoc contains golden mineralization and copper oxidized with laundering, lodged inside an intrusive félsico typical of a system of porphyry of gold - copper.
The intrusion is sheltered inside two similar intrusions, all who have penetrated and stay inside massive limestone, calcarenita and limolita of the cretaceous age. The intrusions are circular and they form an area 400 meters in diameter of discontinuous laundering, surrounded with sedimentary rocks hospedantes. The alteration consists in stockwork and sericitización of quartz - magnetita-pirita-calcopirita of variable thickness inside the intrusions and the development and decalcification of skarn variable inside the sedimentary rocks.
The mineralization, the rocks hospedantes and the alteration they are similar to the deposit Hill Crowns, located in the Yanacocha district to the north.
Colpayoc contains flaws areas with direction northwest and areas of flaws with direction North-East inside the sedimentary rocks. In several places, these structures lodge volcanic félsicas brechificadas in variable form (possible breaches of ventilation), with mineralization of precious, included metals golden analysis of up to 10 g/t of silver and silver analysis of up to 912 g/t informed about rock samples of the surface.
In these areas only one preliminary sampling has been realized in this moment, and it is necessary to work of more systematical form to evaluate the distribution of this mineralization.
In short, Colpayoc contains three types of mineralization, which produce in six areas target to themselves separately.
The principal area of mineralization, which has been explored and evaluated (as it was described previously) is the mineralization of porphyry of oro-cobre/Zona of Day. The mineralization epitermal of silver - gold is present inside volcanic félsicas and there can be present the mineralization of skarn, associated with a series of magnetic anomalies in the sedimentary rocks in depth.
