Peru - Yanacocha, Antamina and Xstrata Copper received recognition in Expomina 2009
The delivery of the first award was realized to Mine-layer Yanacocha in the category of Environmental Responsibility by his project “Enlargement and improvement of the integral management of solid residues in the district of Cajamarca: from the mining operation to the community”.
The award in the category Social responsibility was granted to Mining Company Antamina by his project “Mining Fund Antamina”, in which there does participant of the social projects his influence communities.
Xstrata Copper obtained the Award to the Creativity and originality in the current environment of the financial crisis, for his project: "Competitive development of the handmade chains in the Bambas”.

Peru - mining Sector glimpses with optimism investments in next months
With optimism with regard to the mining investments of next years and, consequently, with the impulse to the industry of goods and services that generate business in this sector, Roque Benavides, general manager of Company of Mines Good luck; as well as Hans Flury, president of the SNMPE and Ricardo Briceño, president of the Confiep inaugurated at midday II International Seminar of Teams, Provisions, Services and Mining Machinery Expomina 2009 before more than 4,000 assistants and representatives of the 300 most important provider companies of the country.
