Peru - golden Production in 2008 grows 5,66 %

The National Institute of Statistics and Computer science of Peru (INEI) and the Department of Energy and Mines Peru (Minem) has been communicated that in the mining activity the golden production in 2008 has increased 5,66 % and that of silver 5,2 %.
The golden production grew last year 5,66 %, to 179.870.473 thin grams.
The mine-layer Yanacocha, the biggest gold-mine of South America and with 44 % of participation of the Peruvian Good luck, exported in 2008 for 1.571 million dollars, 41 % more than in the previous year of 2007.
The Mine-layer Barrick Misquichilca, daughter company of the Canadian Barrick Gold, exported in 2008 gold for 1.378 million dollars, that is to say, more than 22 % than in 2007.
