Peru - Yanacocha increased 20 % the golden production in third trimester 2008

“During the third trimester of 2008 the produced ounces increased in 20 % with regard to the same period in 2007 (449k ounces vs. 374k ounces) owed principally to the putting in operation and treatment of the mineral in the new golden mill plant”, said Yanacocha in a bulletin sent Saturday to the Peruvian regulatory organism.
Yanacocha mentioned as well as the expectations of sales of the company support between 1,7 and 1,8 million ounces for 2008.
Yanacocha is controlled by the American Newmont Mining Corp.
