Peru - Yanacocha the biggest gold-mine of Latin America

This empire generates 3 thousand direct work places and 7 thousand subcontracted ones.

With advanced technology, specializing machinery and dynamite, it removes 600 thousand metric tons of rock a day.

The manager of community relations of the mine-layer, Carlos Cherpella, said that in 15 years Yanacocha has extracted 29 million golden ounces.

The Mining company Yanacocha headed in 2009 the mining exports with 2.081,63 million dollars, more 28,85 % of what it exported the year 2008, reported the Society of Exterior Commerce of Peru (Comex Peru).
